“It
took around 6 weeks from placing the advert to getting the offer
that we accepted”
Steve Worley from Halesowen, West Midlands wrote and told us
“We looked at several options and Houseweb seemed to
be the best company to deal with both in terms of price and web
presence.
We found the process of selling privately less stressful
because we were in DIRECT control of the process and were
therefore not left wondering if the estate agent was doing their
job.
Get some good photos of your house which will sell it for
you. Take time to make them exceptional as these above all else
will make a buyer take the time to read your property details.
Make sure that your property details are factually true and that
they are written in grammatically correct English. If you
wouldn't accept sloppy English from an estate agent then don't
accept it from yourself - a buyer wont. You are trying to
project a professional image after all.
Allow time to get your property ready when you have someone
coming to view it. You have heard them say on television
property programmes that you are selling a lifestyle - it's true
you are. I must have done something right in my advertisement
presentation since the BBC decided to feature our property on
their 'To Buy or Not to Buy' programme which was broadcast in
October 2004 as a direct result of seeing the property on the
internet.
If
it all seems too much hassle then think of the money you could
save! in my case around £1175"
