I decided to
sell privately as I was confident my House would be bought by a
local person who knew the Location / Village .. I bought
This House 11 Years ago when I had family In the village who
told me about it . At the time it was on the Market only 24
Hours with the estate agent !
I decided to
use HouseWeb as I knew it was a house which were going to be
easy to sell. The site was recommended by a relative.
I found the
process of putting my advert on HouseWeb easy. I selected the
Platinum package at £199 which included a For Sale Board. It
was a great help in the marketing of the property as we have
people driving past to drop their kids to school.
I put the
“For Sale Board” at Easter 08 and sold in August 08 in a
rapidly declining market. Using this method saved me
approximately £5,000. I Sold it for only 3% lower than the
asking price and approx £20k more that an Estate Agent
Valuation.
Selling
privately was easy and I enjoyed the experience . I’m a Sales
Manager so It was good to sell the Features and Lifestyle the
Village and surrounding area can offer.

most moves are made within a very small radius of where people
live and the first thing is to look at the World wide web

If you are
thinking of selling your home, use a Website product to give you
the visibility required to present you home with pictures etc. I
also placed one advert in a local “Free” paper the week
before Easter which cost £78.00 which referred people to my
advert on HouseWeb and the rest is history ..
My
recommendation would be to try advertising using a website like
HouseWeb before using an estate agent. I also found dealing with
my Solicitor very easy. In fact my solicitor believes Estate
agents can make life more complicated and I found it easier to
dealing with the client direct. I can Highly recommend HouseWeb
