If you have any double glazing (including doors etc) put in you will nearly always need a FENSA certificate from the glazing company. This certifies that the company has complied with the building regulations.

A lot of companies seem to forget to tell customers how important this certificate is. I find in my work as a conveyancing solicitor in Eastleigh Hampshire ( http://www.rwco.co.uk ) mail@rwco.co.uk that this can cause delays and trouble when people come to sell.

The certificates can take 6 weeks or so to come through from the umbrella orgaisation that provides them, and so if you do not get one straight after the work has been done, it is a nuisance and can hold up a sale.
